Purpose

Production Line Maintenance is used to record information about production lines, such as the standard production rate. If your company has multiple production lines, each dedicated to certain products, production is typically scheduled by line, rather than by item.

In Advanced repetitive, Line Schedule Workbench and Planned Repetitive Approve used the information from Production Line Maintenance, along with the shift schedule, to calculate daily production capacity.

Method

Site:  Enter your site code

Press Enter.

Description:  Enter a short description of the production line. This would usually match the work centre description.

Units/Hour:  If all items produced at this production run at the same rate, enter  units per hour in this field. If they differ, leave this field blank and enter specific units/hour against the item number.

Set Up Time: Specify Set up Time in days, hours, minutes and seconds

Auto Firm: Specify Yes to have the system automatically firm orders scheduled at this production line. If Auto Firm is set to No, the system does not firm planned orders.
