RTS receipts

Purpose

RTS receipts is used to record that a supplier has fulfilled all or part of a commitment by delivering replacement materials. These materials are received into inventory, and the system calculates variances and generates receiving history for matching against the supplier invoice in Accounts Payable.

Method

Order: Select appropriate RTS number.

Press enter or click on next to continue

Packing Slip: Enter supplier’s packing slip number

Receiver: Leave blank as this field will be automatically populated once the receipt has been completed

Effective: Leave set on default of today’s date

Move to Next Operation: This is a subcontract related field and does not affect RTS receipts. Leave set on default as it will have no effect.

Receive all: If set to Yes, will automatically trigger all items on the order for receipted. Leave set to No so that user has to specify exactly what quantities of each item are being received.

Comments: Optional field, if set to Yes will enable addition of header comments.

Ship Date:  Optionally enter the date the supplier shipped the items. 

Press enter or click on next to continue

Receipt Date: Will default to today’s date. If this is incorrect, set to correct receiving date to ensure supplier performance report records are correct.

Press enter or click on next to continue

Line: Use hour glass or arrow keys to select the correct line number.

Press enter or click on next to continue

Quantity:  Enter quantity being receipted

Packing Qty: Leave blank, quantity field above will suffice

Cancel B/O: Accept default

UM: Accept item default

ID: Leave blank, this field is only used with subcontract purchase orders.

Op: Leave blank, this field is only used with subcontract purchase orders

Site: Enter the site the items will be receipted into

Location: Enter the location the items will be receipted into

Lot/Ser: Only required if lot/serial controlled items are in use. If not, leave blank.

Reference: Only required if reference numbered items are in use, if not, leave blank.

Supplier Lot: Optional reference field.

Multi Entry: If lot/serial numbers are in use, this field is required to enter multiple numbers.

Comments: Set to Yes if line comments are required to support this return

Press enter or click on next to continue.

Note that receipt quantity now appears in the top screen.

Press enter or click on next to continue

Display purchase order lines being received: Enter Yes to display item data and No to return to line data.

Press enter or click on next to continue

Is all information correct? Click on Yes to continue with the screen and click on No to return to the line data.

View/Edit Tax Data: Leave set to No as this should not be amended.

Press enter or click on next to complete the screen.

Note the receiver field has now been automatically completed.
